
Biodun Abudu is a Rhode Island-born author with Nigerian roots whose work explores identity, culture, taboo topics, and the truths people often keep hidden. Through poetry, storytelling, and social commentary, his writing invites honest conversations about the realities many people are taught to keep private.
Abudu is the author of multiple books spanning poetry, social commentary, and cultural reflection. His catalog includes titles such as Tales of My Skin, Stolen Sanity, and This Wasn’t for the Public, examining the emotional, social, and cultural experiences that shape how people live, love, and navigate the world around them.
He is a BookFest Award–winning writer, earning 1st Place in Self-Help for Notes to Self: A Human’s Journey and 2nd Place in Poetry for Open Letters from Within. His work has also been featured in media outlets including BellaNaija, Ameyaw Debrah, and Windy City Times, along with podcast interviews and other literary platforms. He has also appeared at literary events including BookCon in New York, where he read from his work as part of a featured literary program, as well as festivals such as the Black British Book Festival in London and the New York City Poetry Festival.
